Biafra and Oduduwa, Eden?!
Recently, the former President of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed that Nnamdi Kanu (Ipob leader) has gotten Biafra, with what he saw at the UK parliament. Lots of jubilation covered social media as well as criticism.
It's a glaring fact that if Biafra should gain independence the Yorubas of the Oduduwa would also leave the contraption and vice versa.
The two southern states have proven over the years that, they are the bedrock and the force behind the title "The giant of Africa" given to Nigeria. Some say if the two countries emerge, the world power would shift to Africa.
It's convincing that, the two countries would be a replica of China and Japan. Let's go back to history to prove this claim. During the civil war (1967-1970) Biafra improvised a petroleum refinery, not only that, but also they made all the weapons used to fight this war. The Europeans even testified to Biafra level of technology.
After the war, the then military government (Yakubu Gowon) came up with a plan to invest in the Biafran technology but was opposed by the northerners because it was headed by an Igbo and had its headquarter at Enugu (a southeast state). If the idea was embraced Nigeria would probably be among one of the best technology producing countries.
Have you heard about the fastest computer? yes, you guessed right, it was invented by an Igbo man, named Philip Emeagwali despite all this the government failed to promote the gift of these people.
Oduduwa, on the other hand, is a nation blessed with enough 'human resources'. The southwest has the most educated elites in the country. When it comes to good governance the Yoruba has all the qualities the citizens need from a responsive government.
Oduduwa has enough 'natural resources' to sustain the country's economy. Oduduwa can never borrow from any country to accomplish a budget because they have surplus resources.
Also, Oduduwa youths are now discovering their ability in technology. They now produce sports cars, helicopters etc.
Truly, if these two countries emerge Africa would have a rewrite of history.
