Sometimes, tough times excavate our BEST

Do you agree with this?

Initially, I wasn't bothered about my wardrobe's broken hasp but I began to feel very uncomfortable with the incessant intrusions a week later. If you know me well, you would know I give people the opportunity to prove themselves. I show you my vulnerabilities and watch if you would use them against me. It's the same I did with my phone's screen lock when I got here: I didn't lock it until someone invaded my privacy.

I didn't think of repairing the broken hasp until my acquaintances began to take my things without my permission. Hence, I decided to call a carpenter so he could help me fix it. Although I already got a padlock and kept it inside my shoulder bag, the carpenter didn't fix the wardrobe's hasp until today.

When the carpenter finished his job, I tried to unlock the padlock but it was a vain attempt. I tried all the keys yet nothing happened. The mistake I made was that I didn't examine the padlock when I bought it. Even when I resisted the urge to return the padlock because I bought the padlock three days ago, and it would certainly appear absurd to return a commodity I had bought two days ago, I went to the market to demand a new padlock.

Being affected by prosopagnosia, I couldn't recognize the face of the lady who sold the padlock to me. Also, I have a problem with identifying places I have visited once or twice. It takes frequent visits for me to identify a visited place.

The moment I noticed the search was going to be futile, I turned back and headed home. On my way home, I began to place the keys into the keyhole in different ways. I tried a deep insertion. I also tried a slight insertion, and it worked— the padlock was unlocked. It's then I discovered I don't need to insert the key deeply, a slight insertion is the only way to unlock the padlock.

While tough times are undesirable, they are times that exhume the best in us most times. Nobody wishes for a tough time, but these seasons have beaten and made the great people I have known through the pages of history. Be patient with your tough times, use them to discover yourself. Use them to try and fail. Try and fail. Try and fail till you get your desired results.

What do you think??
